Grocery TV is Clerk's core marketing product, and the largest digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising network in grocery, with an initial focus on point-of-sale advertising displays. The vision for the Grocery TV product is to make it easier for advertisers to reach their audience at every key point along the retail shopping journey.

About the role

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join us and help turn the troves of data we collect from retailers, brands, and the largest & fastest-growing connected display network in retail into exciting new products and actionable insights. 

As a member of the Analytics team, you will be the primary driver for managing and maintaining our data. This includes the development and execution of data-intensive workflows to support new and existing products. In addition, you will leverage machine learning and statistical methods to interpret and analyze our data to find valuable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to solve internal business requests and goals
  • Maintain existing Looker reporting and dashboards 
  • Identify and establish new metrics, reporting, and tools to enable business needs and growth
  • Leverage data analytics techniques to interpret, analyze, and visualize our data to identify actionable insights 
  • Write and utilize python scripts to automate or run tasks more efficiently
Growth opportunities

This role will use a modern toolkit to support the analytics needs and work closely with a huge variety of teams, both internal and external. Recent projects include analytics consulting for a major CPG brand, working with Finance to implement revenue optimization models for programmatic advertising, and sourcing and integration of demographic data for our partner stores to help our Retail and Ad Sales teams. At Clerk Analytics, there will be endless opportunities for learning new skills and tools, both on the job and through more structured settings like online training or analytics conferences.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, or relevant internship experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of SQL and Python
  • Working knowledge of statistics, machine learning, optimization, and forecasting
  • Experience with data visualization, preferably with Looker and Tableau
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Detail-oriented and an appreciation for organization
  • Ability to work and collaborate with a small, fast-paced team
  • Love for the startup environment and building new things
