Grocery TV is Clerk's core marketing product, and the largest digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising network in grocery, with an initial focus on point-of-sale advertising displays. The vision for the Grocery TV product is to make it easier for advertisers to reach their audience at every key point along the retail shopping journey.

About the role

We are looking for an Account Executive to join the Grocery TV Retail Sales team. You'll support the expansion of the largest digital ad network in grocery retail, with a growing footprint in other retail types like pharmacies and convenience stores. As a member of our Retail Sales team, you'll help accelerate the adoption of our network by building relationships with regional partners across the United States.

  • Manage a full-cycle role from prospecting to building relationships with the right stakeholders to closing deals
  • Develop a pipeline through a combination of cold calling, email touchpoints, and market research
  • Work with our Accounts team to transition secured accounts, improve our customer experience, and increase retention
  • Work with our Product team to share customer feedback and new product ideas
  • Work with our Marketing team to grow brand awareness, increase inbound leads, and execute sales strategies as new products and features are released.
  • Play an integral part in our company’s development and have the opportunity to be a founding member of the Retail Sales team.
Growth opportunities

As an individual contributor, you'll start calling on 5-10 store local retail chains and work up to progressively larger regional retailers. At the top level, you'll establish partnerships with national retailers that have thousands of stores.

If you're interested in management opportunities, we'll eventually need a team lead for the retail partnerships team as it grows over the next few years. In this role, you'll have regular coaching opportunities with new AEs hired after you.

  • 2+ years of experience in a full-cycle sales role
  • Knowledge of the grocery industry or retail environment
  • Knowledge of digital media or advertising
  • Experience using a CRM, preferably Hubspot
  • Excellent people & communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting information to potential clients and decision-makers with confidence & enthusiasm both in-person, over the phone, and through video.
  • Detail-oriented and an appreciation for organization
  • Ability to work and collaborate with a small, fast-paced team
  • Love for the startup environment and building new things

As a part of our commitment to transparency, we use a market-based formula that provides consistency across roles & experience levels and publish all of our compensation data internally for our team.

  • Base Compensation: $80,000/year
  • Total Compensation (100% Quota): $160,000/year
